The Harris' Fall Family Photos

I loved spending time with little Griffin and Bella!  They were so full of life and so excited to see me!  Their parents were amazing about incorporating the information from the TIPS page and it made such a tremendous difference.  After we did one portion, they would say, "What can we play next?"  So I had them pretend they were riding horses while they were sitting on the log, then made up a game of running while holding hands, and pretending to play hide and seek with their parents... which led to all the photos we were looking for.  The time went by so quickly and everyone left feeling like they had a great time.  The Mom kept exclaiming, "This is sooooo much better then being forced to sit in one place for indoor photos!"  I was thrilled that she enjoyed the experience so much!  Here are just a few photos from the 121 photos in their album!

The Zellers Family

This is my 3rd time photographing the Zellers Family!  They are a huge part of the reason why we created BW Photography!   With their support and encouragement, we finally decided to take the jump into making this hobby a business.  I know Jessica from our previous work together at the University.  As much as I loved my job I was clearly pining to be back home with our beautiful children, and she was always a huge support when I was missing our little ones.  When I found out she was pregnant shortly after starting there, I was beyond ecstatic!  If any couple was deserving of starting a family... these two were!  She had their exceptionally handsome son Rowan, who completely lit up their lives.  Just a short year later, they found out they were expecting their beautiful daughter Ruby.  She had more hair than I thought possible for a newborn.  And that was where it all started... I offered to do her newborn photos, and from there... we were hooked!  Her husband Andy was extremely encouraging and spread the word to anyone that would listen that they needed to check us out!    I feel so fortunate to not only be able to work with the Zellers and photograph their family, but to have them as friends as well!  They are such a joy to be around!

This picture just cracks me up!  It may be an outtake, but I think it's one of my favorites!

Baby Sophia

This beautiful baby is just loved to pieces!  Parents, grandparents, friends... she's a cherished little thing!  Unfortunately, for our session it was too cold to really get some good outdoor shots of just her.  I sometimes forget how unmaliable this age is.  Not quite ready to be on their stomach for pictures, not a fan of being on their backs, not able to sit up by themselves, it's definitely known as a challenging age in the photography world for a reason.  Needless to say, when we realized it was just too cold to take pictures outside, we did an impromptu visit to the grandparents house (with no box lighting, props or back drops!), and did what we could to get some pictures of her in her sweet bow and the little matching tutu I made to go with it.  I can't wait to do her 3 month pictures with all of my photography materials... she is SUCH a stunning baby, I know we'll get some incredible shots!  I was really happy with how a lot of the ones turned out that we took, I just wish we could have had a wider variety to choose from!  On the other hand, I tend to get pretty excessive with the 100+ edited photo sessions sometimes!

I love little baby fingers!

Such an attentive daddy...

Do you get the feeling I might have been boring her?  ;)

Until next time!

The Sims Family

I had such a great time with the Sims Family!   Their kids were extremely sweet and great to hang out with, and the parents are clearly a couple that are extremely dedicated to eachother!  I love meeting other couples that want to hold hands with one another!  One of the things I try to do, is to give the parents a little time to capture some pictures of just the two of them.  Some people forget that the kids will only be in the house for so long, but the marriage goes on well beyond that.  They were definitely up for it and hopefully they will cherish all of the pictures for years to come!  It was a great time and I'm glad that they had me join them on their day at the park!

Attacking the parents during their portion!

Ahhh... payback!

Until next time Sims Family!

The (Gorgeous) Stone Family

I can't believe I haven't gotten these pictures up of the Stone Family!  I adore these beautiful children... ALL four of them!  I did the youngest one's photos as my 2nd or 3rd professional session ever???  It's hard to believe that was just 7 short months ago!  It feels like a lifetime!  All the kids are a delight to be around, and are respectful of their parents, a lethal combination for completely winning my heart!  Their oldest child Taylor, actually adores her mother even at the pre-teen age of 12!  I hope I get to be that lucky!  They all helped get things together for the pictures and had such a great spirit!  I'm so glad that they asked me to do their photos again!   Just to forewarn you... there were too many photos I loved of this family, so this really is a long post of pictures!

Until next time Stone Family!
